Education
The education of our children is one of the most vital roles in all of society. It is important to have an educational system that attracts qualified individuals into the field as a career and once there, rewards them for good work and offers the type of all around fulfillment that creates the desire to continue in the field.
Likewise it is important to have a system that the parents of children have confidence in. Both from an educational aspect, and societal aspect. More and more parents are becoming ever more fearful sending their children to our public schools, not only because of concern for their children being adequately instructed in the core curriculum, but over concern of the societal values they are being taught.
Next to moral decay, the quickest way to lose a functional society is a failed education system. There is only one way to regain the greatness of this state and nation, that I believe most people in Montana and the Nation feel is slipping away. It is to return to biblical values and principles and a sound education system.
There are solutions to the challenges facing our school system. There is no question that when we pray and listen to what God is saying we will receive themHis heart is to Bless us. As with other issues, I know that solutions involve the state government working hand in hand with the private sector as a team. I firmly believe there is a mix of public and private education, utilizing tax dollars and other funds, that will meet the desires and expectations of parents.
